Hello! I'm Jessica Quintanilla (pronounced kin-ta-NEE-ya) and I'm thrilled to be joining the St. Boniface team as the Youth Faith Formation Coordinator! My training and background are in human resource management and employee/organizational development.
For the last five and a half years, I've had the pleasure of working in a Presbyterian church office, supporting the church communications and administrative functions. While I loved working there, in the past year I've felt increasingly called to work more directly in ministry. A lifelong Catholic, I knew that I could only do this by seeking a position at a church within my own faith tradition and I truly believe that the Holy Spirit led me to the Faith Formation team at St. Boniface. I'm so eager to work with everybody here, especially the youth, to see where the Spirit takes us next!
I live in Milwaukee with my husband, Carlos, and our three kids, Bella, Tony, and Evelyn. I share most of my interests with my kids these days, and they include traveling and exploring history and science, visiting museums and amusement parks, swimming, reading, being creative and crafty, singing silly songs, and learning new languages. I speak rusty-fluent Spanish and my husband is a native speaker, originally from Nicaragua, but our kids are actually learning French
at school! In my spare time, I do a lot of volunteer work at the kids' school and at my own parish, St. Catherine of Alexandria, in Milwaukee. I also enjoy writing and grabbing a good cup of coffee with friends.
I grew up in Milwaukee and I graduated from Pius XI High School, where I was very involved in the Campus Ministry program. I have great memories of my own formation process as a teenager and it’s an amazing gift to be able to work with the youth of St. Boniface as they uncover and grow in their own faith. I’m so looking forward to getting to know the Germantown area, its people, and especially the St. Boniface community better!
